Born with facial differences that, up until now, have prevented him from going to a mainstream school, Auggie Pullman becomes the most unlikely of heroes when he enters the local fifth grade. As his family, his new classmates, and the larger community all struggle to discover their compassion and acceptance, Auggie's extraordinary journey will unite them all and prove you can't blend in when you were born to stand out.

The best movie to watch with your family!
  • How people’s bodies become invisible

When you first meet someone, you see his face, his stature, his physical form. Maybe in the back of your mind you catch a glimpse of who he is inside, and it sticks there in the back of your mind. The second time you meet someone, you see his face and then remember that flicker of a recognition of his soul. It influences how you behave toward him. The next time you see him, you see his face but you talk to his soul. As you see him more and more you see less and less of his physical form and more and more of his soul, until it’s all you can see, and you can’t imagine what it’s like to see only his physical form anymore. If I could change one thing about this story, it would be to have the boy’s family — who see his soul clearly — better communicate to him that his soul is who he is, that his soul is what is true about him, and that they are not afraid for him (even if they are), because a good soul is beautiful, and to be unable to see beyond a face into the soul is to have oneself a shallow soul, and that is to be pitied.

Such a great story. Too bad they turned into something so utterly boring. I fell asleep so many times I had to turn it off. So disappointing. I feel badly because it’s such a great story based on such a great kid. The Dateline special was way better.

I'm not the biggest fan of heartbreaking things, but this is definitely in my top 3 favorite movies. If you haven't read the book or seen the movie yet, you ACTUALLY NEED TO.PS the best part is when Julian gets punch in the face
