Lia Dorsey serves as the Chief Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Officer and is responsible for leading the development and execution of the firm’s diversity strategy, as well as ongoing and new initiatives that will continue to build and support an inclusive culture. She collaborates with firm leaders, business resource groups, and practice group leaders to expand efforts around recruiting and retention, training and development, client management and practice development. Lia has experience in strategic change management, organizational development, and several talent management disciplines including leadership development, coaching and marketing and business development.
Lia joins the firm from Dentons US LLP, where she was the Director of Diversity and Inclusion. There, she was responsible for the strategic oversight, design, and implementation of the firm’s diversity and inclusion initiatives for lawyers and professional staff. Earlier, she served as the Director of Diversity and Inclusion for Eversheds Sutherland US LLP. She also held senior marketing and business development positions at Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney PC and DLA Piper LLP.
Lia is a thought leader in the movement to advance diversity and a driver for inclusive change. She is a regular speaker and panelist on topics covering diversity and inclusion in Big Law and the greater legal industry.
